            Division awards will be given for Pee Wee, Youth Western, Adult Western 12 and under, Junior Horse, Novice Horse, Novice Rider, Youth Hunter and Adult Hunter. Ribbons will be awarded to 5th place. Points: 1st-7, 2nd-5, 3rd-4, 4th-3, 5th-2, 6th-1.

        • Pleasure Horse and Pony Association (PHPA)     
        • VAQHA Schooling Show Points Program     
        • PAC Points (APHA- American Paint Horse Association)     
        • Appaloosa Competitive All Breed Activities Program Points

ENTRY FEES:
$9.00 per Class
$7.00 for 4Hers showing a current 4H card


 

 

Pleasure Show Class Descriptions  
 
     

SHOWMANSHIP/HALTER- Judged on the cleanliness of the horse and the exhibitor’s ability to show the horse in hand and conformation of the breed. 50% cleanliness, 50% conformation

YOUTH HORSE SHOWMANSHIP/HALTER- Open to all horses under the age of 5 years. Judged on the cleanliness of the horse and the exhibitor’s ability to show the horse in hand and conformation of the breed. Yearlings may shown in this class.

PEE WEE: This is a walk division. An adult may be in the ring with the exhibitor as a spotter. The pattern will be a simple pattern at a walk only.

12 AND UNDER (HUNTER OR WESTERN)- Horses shown by exhibitors who are 12 and under in age. Riders will be asked to walk and trot. Riders are not allowed to cross enter into classes where they would be asked to canter. It is judged on the ability of the rider. There is a pattern class.

HUNTER CLASSES-Horses are shown in hunter attire. Riders will be asked to walk, trot, and canter. There are youth and adult classes.

WESTERN CLASSES-Horses are shown in western attire. Riders will be asked to walk, jog, and lope. There are youth and adult classes.

JUNIOR HORSE- Open to horses 5 years and under. Riders will be asked to walk, trot and canter in the hunter classes and walk, jog, and lope in the western classes.

NOVICE RIDER- Open to riders in their first or second year of showing. This can be hunter or western. Open to adult and youth. Will be split adult and youth if entries warrant the split. Riders do not have to show the same horse in hunter nd western.

NOVICE HORSE- This is open to horses in their first or second year of showing. May be shown Hunter or Western. Riders will be asked to walk, trot or jog, canter or lope. Classes may be split if entries warrant the split.


*****Each class will be awarded ribbons 1st thru 5th place, and you must show in all 3 of the division's classes to be eligible for Champion and Reserve.
 
-Points aquired as follows 1st -7 points, 2nd -5 points,
3rd- 4 points, 4th- 3 points, 5th- 2 points ,6th- 1 point. 

-Champion in each division will also acquire an additional 10 points and Reserve will acquire an additional 5 points.
